【摘要】:ThispartofISO10993specifiesamethodforthedeterminationofallowablelimitsforsubstancesleachablefrommedicaldevices.Itisintendedforuseinderivingstandardsandestimatingappropriatelimitswherestandardsdonotexist.Itdescribesasystematicprocessthroughwhichidentifiedrisksarisingfromtoxicologicallyhazardoussubstancespresentinmedicaldevicescanbequantified.ThispartofISO10993isnotapplicabletodevicesthathavenopatientcontact(e.g.invitrodiagnosticdevices).Exposuretoaparticularchemicalsubstancemayarisefromsourcesotherthanthedevice,suchasfood,waterorair.ThispartofISO10993doesnotaddressthepotentialforexposurefromsuchsources.
