【摘要】:1.1Thistestmethoddescribesanacceleratedprocedurefordeterminingcomparativecharacteristicsofinsulatingcoatingsystemsappliedtosteelpipeexteriorforthepurposeofpreventingormitigatingcorrosionthatmayoccurinundergroundservicewherethepipewillbeexposedtohightemperaturesandisundercathodicprotection.Thistestmethodisintendedforusewithsamplesofcoatedpipetakenfromcommercialproductionandisapplicabletosuchsampleswhenthecoatingischaracterizedbyfunctionasanelectricalbarrier.1.2Thistestmethodisintendedfortestingcoatingssubmergedorimmersedinthetestsolutionatelevatedtemperature.Whenitisimpracticaltosubmergeorimmersethetestspecimen,TestMethodG95maybeconsideredwherethetestcelliscementedtothesurfaceofthecoatedpipespecimen.Ifroomtemperaturesarerequired,seeTestMethodsG8.Ifaspecifictestmethodisrequiredwithnooptions,seeTestMethodG80.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitstothreesignificantdecimalsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
