【摘要】:Duetotheinherentdangerofperoxidesinbutadiene,specificationlimitsareusuallysetfortheirpresence.Thistestmethodwillprovidevaluesthatcanbeusedtodeterminetheperoxidecontentofasampleofcommercialbutadiene.Butadienepolyperoxideisaverydangerousproductofthereactionbetweenbutadieneandoxygenthatcanoccur.Theperoxidehasbeenreportedtobethecauseofsomeviolentexplosionsinvesselsthatareusedtostorebutadiene.1.1Thisprocedurecoversthedeterminationofperoxidesinbutadiene.1.2Thistestmethodcoverstheconcentrationsrangeof1to10ppmbymass(ppmw)asavailableoxygen.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
