【摘要】:Manyofthemanualandautomatedlaboratorymethodsformeasurementofphysical,chemical,andbiologicalparametersinwaterandwastewaterareadaptabletoon-linesamplingandanalysis.Theresultingreal-timedataoutputcanhaveavarietyofuses,includingconfirmingregulatorycompliance,controllingprocessoperations,ordetectingleaksorspills.Thisguideisintendedtobeacommonreferencethatcanbeappliedtoallwaterqualitymonitoringsystems.However,calibration,validation,andverificationsectionsmaybeinappropriateforcertaintestssincetheactofremovingasamplefromaflowingstreammaychangethesample.TechnicaldetailsofthespecificmethodologyarecontainedinthepertinentASTMstandardtestmethods,whichwillreferencethispracticeforguidanceinselectionofsystemsandtheirproperimplementation.ThisguidecomplementsdescriptiveinformationonthissubjectfoundintheASTMManualonWater.31.1Thisguidecoverstheselection,establishment,application,andvalidationandverificationofmonitoringsystemsfordeterminingwatercharacteristicsbycontinualsampling,automaticanalysis,andrecordingorotherwisesignalingofoutputdata.Thesystemchosenwilldependonthepurposeforwhichitisintended:whetheritisforregulatorycompliance,processmonitoring,ortoalerttheuserofadversetrends.Ifitistobeusedforregulatorycompliance,themethodpublishedorreferencedintheregulationsshouldbeusedinconjunctionwiththisguideandotherASTMmethods.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.SpecifichazardstatementsaregiveninSection.
